A Memorable Trip to Peru

July 26th, 2010 by the writer

June was a blast! It wasn’t a vacation but it was just as good! Traveling to Peru was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, one that I’ve been craving for in years. I love Peru, the cities we’ve visited, the people’s energy. The mix of different cultures, old and new, didn’t fail to keep me curious. It helped that I learned a few local words and expressions prior to our visit. I was so proud of myself that judging from the way I was able to put a conversation with the locals, I could really pass as a local too! The port cities have the best of both worlds. The hustle and bustle of the city life is exciting but it’s amazing how a few steps could bring you to a spot where you can enjoy the sight of the sea. I’m still caught between Peruvian cuisine and the wonderful artisan handicrafts as the icing on the cake of our entire visit. For me, nothing beats what we’ve had in Peru.
