The Visco Memory Foam Pillow
July 12th, 2009 by the writerMost of you reading this would have heard of NASA right! But how many of you realised it was NASA who gave us memory foam? Why would NASA invent such a product you might ask? Well, it was developed sometime in the 1970′s in conjunction with the Space Program. The idea was to create a material that would absorb the enormous G-forces that were experienced during lift off and re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere. It worked a charm and made the whole experience for astronauts a lot more tolerable. Well, that was then and this is now. The benefits of using this visco-elastic foam in certain products (particularly bedding items) became evident, and so the entrepreneurial types in society took this technology and came back with the items we see today such as the Visco Memory Foam Pillow, the memory foam travel pillow, and the memory foam mattress to name but a few. Men and women with and without problems with joints and muscular aches and pains have all said that memory foam bedding has enhanced the lives of them and their families. Such a great product is memory foam that it makes for great and unusual gifts too. Thanks NASA, we’re all dreaming better because of you! what’s next?
