Has the world gone Mad?  Okay, so we’re all trying to become more environmentally aware when shopping for products and services. And, most of us are trying to understand more about this so called Carbon Footprint that we are responsible for. But……isn’t this hype becoming somewhat of a fad in today’s consumer obsessed world?  What in God’s name are Earth shoes for crying out loud? And if that’s not enough, now we’re seeing Vegan footwear and dozens of other so called Organic Shoes and boots hitting the high street fashions. This means no man-made chemical based materials, and do not include animal products or testing on animals in their creation.

Are these clothing items really at the forefront of green technology, and do those who produce them really care about the planet or is this all simply a gimmick to feather the financial nests of those thinking up these latest fashion fads. One can only assume that the ‘Greens’ have given up on the older generations and all this new-age hard sell is but a ploy to tap into the pockets of teenagers as it is they, and not the adults, who are so into the world’s wellbeing. Hmm!  I wonder if the Green Conscious mob will be so keen to buy if see these items have ‘Made in India’ or some other emerging country with appalling workers rights, stamped into their labels!
