Solar Power Hot Water Panels More Popular

January 10th, 2010 by the writer

With the energy costs in the U.S. and around the world continuing to rise, solar power is on the verge of becoming more popular than ever. Using solar hot water panels to heat your water instead of using conventional electric or gas utility companies is called living off the grid.

Usually, however, people who install solar hot water panels are using it to supplement their current heating needs, not to altogether get rid of them.  Solar hot water panels have already become popular in countries such as France, Spain, and Italy. And they’re becoming more popular in the U.S. every year to the point where it’s not unusual to see them on roofs in certain parts of the country .

These panels, at a distance, look like skylights and usually you’ll have at least two of these panels on the roof.
