Candle Making for Everyone
February 16th, 2010 by the writerIn candle making, you could use a lot of colors and designs and put all kinds of fragrances and scents. Some enthusiasts are even making their own molds made of liquid latex to produce candles with design that already could be considered a work of art.
Advanced candle making classes teaches you how to do it. Using liquid latex molds does have its drawbacks. It is not strong enough to hold the melted wax and usually bends while pouring the hot wax. One solution is to use a cardboard. This can be done by cutting a hole into it that is just big enough for the lip of the latex mold to slip through. This will act as a support while the wax is being poured down.
