When it comes to choosing a curriculum for home school, there are several pointers to consider. One of the most important choices to make is whether or not to choose a home school is whether or not to choose an accredited home school curriculum. Many people do not understand exactly what the accrediting process is or what it means.

The accrediting process for a home school curriculum is the same as it is for public or private schools. It is a long and rigorous process that can take an entire year or more. These self-studies set out to verify that the school actually accomplishes its mission statement and its goals. The process also helps the school to see if it has fulfilled its mandate to find out what students are learning. Furthermore, the study looks to measure student learning to see if the goals, mission statement and curriculum are helping students in the learning process and to what extent the school needs to improve.
