London is profuse with the best of the best of everything – you’ll discover fabulous bars, sensational clubbing and eateries that’ll keep you returning for more every time. London is widely recognised as one of the “gay†focus points in the world and is the base for the largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GBLT) body in Europe.
Thanks to the perennial ‘Soho Pride’, ‘Pride London’ and the London Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – and arguably some of the most spectacular gay club nights you will find anywhere – there’s something to beguile you whatever the time.
Many of the choicest bars right in the heart of The city can be found in the acclaimed gay location known as Soho. Soho is fantastic since everywhere is in walking distance, it never sleeps and you will always see a place open to keep you occupied till late. ‘Profile’, a brilliant little bar off Old Compton Street (London’s ‘Gay’ road), is famous for its incredible cocktails and ambiance. You have got ‘Friendly Society’ which is as welcoming as its name suggests, their drinks can be somewhat dear but it can be an amazing night out – there is a great bunch of people and the Disk Jockeys are great.
Further acclaimed bars are Green Carnation, Bar Code, Freedom, The Edge, G-A-Y Bar, Village, Ku Bar, Candy Bar, The Yard and the more traditional Compton’s and Admiral Duncan, to name just a few.
A few of the choicest locations are likewise the most renowned ones. People cannot have their night out in London should they are visiting without visiting G-A-Y, often described as the classical camp Mecca. Incredible sounds, great folks and uncostly tipples, – one joint for every gay person in London to see! You’ve also got Heaven, located just off the Strand. This is a little more dear but it has a great ambiance and has enough areas to cater to every fancy in music. Find out all about London with Time Out Magazine.
