Canadian Investors And Retirement Planning

February 17th, 2010 by the writer

This generation of investors know much more about financial investing than past generations. Even so, in many countries, retirees have a hard time of making ends meet. In fact, in most cases, people will have to work past the age of retirement in order to live decently. In Canada, however, almost half of it’s residents expect to retire at or before the age of 60 – and with enough income to live comfortably.

Even though many people argue that today’s generation is much more finance savvy that the one or two generations ago and hence, there is no need to create a special fund in Canada for saving for post retirement days. However, there is a mixed response on this topic. One school of thought is for the Canadian retirement planning to be formalized in a Government run retirement plan with fixed rules and regulations and even a minimum compulsory saving scheme.

The 2 Year Community Colleges

November 13th, 2009 by the writer

Community colleges offer certificate classes in several fields, such as auto repair, tech jobs, law enforcement, and other job studies. Nursing certificates, court recording, or sales training and certification can be earned from a community college.

Community colleges are less expensive than universities. In California, some community college tuition is free. You do have to buy books and supplies. Thank you taxpayers. Going to any community college reduces the time you have to work, so financial aid is available through both the state and uncle Sam. Thank you taxpayer. You can also get college loans that come due after you’ve graduated.

Developing A Business Finance Exit Strategy

November 11th, 2009 by the writer

Its a fact that all businesses will start up at one point and either be shut down or sold to others are a future point of time. The resulting closure or sell off of assets or shares is typically called an exit strategy.

And while all businesses require one, few actually have one in place or have even bothered to think about one. But not only will every business experience an exit at some point, the owners of these businesses are likely relying on the proceeds from the future sale of assets and shares to fund their retirement.

So if the result of exit is very financially important to the owners, why don’t more of them have an exit strategy in place or at least be working on one?

There are many answers to this question, but the most common is that because a business exit will be in the future, sometimes the distant future, its not as important to invest time in as compared to what’s happening right now and therefore is not a business finance priority.

Another reason is that business owners just assume that when they are ready to sell someone will be ready to buy at top dollar and that the overall buy/sell process should be fairly straight forward. This tends to be an inaccurate assumption as work that can go into a successful and profitable exit strategy can be considerable and years in the making.

One of the reasons that pre-planning is important is because to acquire a premium price, buyers typically will need to secure business financing. Business financing for assets like equipment and real estate will be far easier to come by if the business has been set up for sale in terms of financial statements, asset condition, transition plans, and so on.

Increasing Revenue as a YOR Distributor

October 20th, 2009 by the writer

The recent economic downturn has created an environment that is uncomfortable for many people. Many people have lost their jobs, and many others are feeling the pinch associated with tighter budgets. The bottom-line is that a significant portion of the population is scrambling to keep their heads above water in the face of a recession unlike any that the world has seen in recent history. YOR Health seeks to offer a solution.

A large part of the population works within the sales industry, and commissions are universally low in the current economic landscape. This has a direct impact on the quality of life for many families. Especially for those with children, these are difficult times. The cost of living has not decreased to a degree that corresponds with the decrease in wages or the increase in unemployment rates. YOR Health is working to help offset these difficulties.

Given that the economy is struggling and that many families are facing insurmountable odds when it comes to reconciling finances at the end of each month, people are forced to seek alternative means to remain viable and provide for their families. Many families are forced to take second jobs; many househusbands and housewives are forced to take their first job. YOR Health offers a unique opportunity in this regard.

The economic landscape is changing many familial landscapes. Families that are accustomed to having one or both parents around for the benefit of their children are now being forced to spend more time away from their families in order to put food on the table. This can be quite disruptive and introduce new problems into the home.

In this sort of environment, many people would appreciate the opportunity to pursue a career path that offers both (a) financial reward and (b) flexible hours. This combination affords families a minimally disruptive solution to the current financial crisis. YOR Health fits the bill in this regard. Through the distributorship program, YOR Health offers individuals a way to create additional revenue streams on their own terms.

Pack in the Rewards from YOR Health

October 19th, 2009 by the writer

The potential incentives associated with being a distributor for YOR Health add an entirely separate ladder for attainments apart from the general revenue sharing opportunities. There are multiple avenues for obtaining additional perks. YOR Health’s top distributors are eligible for great trips each year as a reward for their dedication to success. Two such rewards include a ski trip and a cruise.

Regarding the first of the above-mentioned perks, YOR Health annual awards the Top 30 distributors with a ski trip to Park City, Utah. For those who are unfamiliar with ski terrain within the United States, Park City is one of the premier resort areas, offering unparalleled slopes for both intermediate and advanced skiers.

Park City (and the neighboring Deer Valley Resort) was the main location for ski and snowboarding events at the 2002 Winter Olympics. YOR Health distributors who through their hard work and discipline earn the privilege to join their peers in Park City are treated to a wide range of possible one-of-a-kind experiences. For example, the top distributors can enjoy navigating some of the nation’s premier slopes, relaxing before a panoramic view of the snow-capped Wasatch mountains, or venturing into Historic Old Town to learn more about the silver mines that at one time supported the local community. The opportunity for leisure or recreation is available to YOR Health’s top distributors as they see fit.

The YOR Health Ski Trip is only available to distributors ranked Emerald or above.

A second potential perk for top YOR Health distributors is the Diamond Cruise event. Qualifying Diamond Directors will be awarded with a cruise to the Bahamas. The cruise takes place on Royal Caribbean’s “Majesty of the Seas” liner for three days of good times and laughter with other leading YOR Health employees.

The best part of this cruise trip might be that it takes place in January which – as those who live outside of California and Florida can attest to – is a great time to escape from wintery weather. There’s no snow in the Bahamas!

For those distributors who were fortunate enough to make it on the most recent cruise trip, it was quite the celebration. Even though the YOR Health team was not necessarily there to party, they were surrounded by people who were. P. Diddy was present on the ship with a crew of people filming an episode of “Making the Band 4.” The YOR Health team was grateful to spend quality time learning about each other and joining forces to forge a better tomorrow.

Alcoholism & AA Recovery

October 8th, 2009 by the writer

For many a problem drinker and full blown alcoholic, the words Alcoholism AA Recovery tend to spring to mind. For some desperate to get sober, fit and healthy again, these words are a godsend and they grasp hold of the fellowship of AA along with its 12 step program of action like their life depended on it. Actually, often times their life does! But for others, they would sooner drink themselves into an early grave than jump onto what they believe is a cult of sorts, and the thought of getting sucked into a ‘monkey sees, monkey does’ type of recovery just has them running to the bar. The bottom line is that AA has helped tens of thousands of alcoholics get sober and live fruitful lives in sobriety, but others just don’t want it, no matter how potentially fatal the consequences may be. Thank god (for want of a better word!), that recent years have seen a lot of alternatives to Alcoholics Anonymous with more options springing up all the time. Society will never rid it’s problems with alcohol and drug abuse, but with more options for recovery, there will be fewer folks living a life of hopelessness if they reach out and opt for one of the many recovery programs available in the 21st century.

The hopes and goals of many an active alcoholic are personal and simple. They want to regain a little health and happiness back into their lives for themselves and their loved one. Education on the problem is not enough for most, which is why support groups and services are so crucial to the survival of many problem drinkers and addicts.

CA’s Interview Questions to Ask Employer: Job 101

July 22nd, 2009 by the writer

One of the things I’ve noticed is that, when I was a job seeker, I look at San Diego’s employer job interview questions with a decidedly hostile feeling. It seemed to me that the questions were designed to try to catch me out as it were. An employer would understandably try to post tricky questions for a variety of reasons. On the one hand, they wanted to do see my job interview preparedness. They want to make sure that I’d taken the proper time and effort to get ready for the job to make sure that I was really interested in it.

On the other hand, they wanted to test my ability to think on my feet. Asking hard job interview questions puts someone in a very stressful position. You are suddenly thrown off-guard while trying to make the best impression possible. There is no better way to test someone’s mettle than to put them off their guard. As a human resources specialist, however, I have a decidedly different view of CA’s interview questions to ask employer. My goal isn’t really to catch people out – at least not primarily. I’m not even really trying to test general skill or level of preparation. [Read More on CA's Interview Questions to Ask Employer: Job 101 Here]

CA’s Smart Goal: How to Achieve Your Goals

July 14th, 2009 by the writer

For me, smart goal setting in CA is all about organizing my life. I like to start everything in the morning, and I like to have everything well set out before I start. Every day, I set up a daily calendar. I schedule what goals I have to achieve that day, which ones I have to work on, and which ones I have to plan out for the future. Some of them are rather easy – for example, organizing a spreadsheet, doing the billing, or finishing the wash. Other ones, however, are more difficult.

By combining easy CA’s smart goal that I can finish and more difficult projects, I am able to provide myself with reinforcement and then work my way towards my most important goals. Positive reinforcement, after all, is what it is all about. Just because I set smart goals doesn’t mean that I don’t get to challenge myself. It does mean, however, that I don’t lie to myself about what I am going to accomplish. You can set up smart goals that are indefinite such as “get in shape,” but you have to go back and divide them up into manageable pieces. If not, you can always deceive yourself about whether or not you have accomplished your goal. [Read More on CA's Smart Goal: How to Achieve Your Goals Here]

If it’s true that you are a grown person who wants to get taller, the one thing you may have heard that is not right about top ways on how to get taller is that bones can be induced to get longer, thus making you have more height. You would do well to not believe that and my new article explains why along with giving you some real honest proven methods and treatments that can in fact help you gain an inch or more in height quickly and safely. This idea about your bones having the ability to get longer is a scam and a myth that is used by companies to sell assorted treatments that they promise will make you taller. They are ripping customers off by this. You have to understand a bit about how the body is formed and how it works to truly get this. As a child and teenager, growth plates at the end of your bones give you the ability to get taller. As you get older, the growth plates fuse and your bones are done growing. Further bone growth is impossible at that point. But it is still possible to get taller and increase your height even if you beyond your physical growth years. A number of specific exercises, diet, sleep, and stimulating human growth hormone can work together in such a way as to allow you get taller. A getting taller miracle fix is a pipe dream. But if you feel you are too short and need to get taller and be happier, there are established scientific techniques that you can implement at once to get taller quickly and naturally. If you really want the truth about how to get taller even if you are an adult, go read my new article posted here.
