Everyone loves a good costume party, or better yet a great Halloween party. But the issue that arises for some couples is what to dress up in for such a party. We’ll here’s my top ten list of Halloween Ideas for Couples for 2010.
First, you can start from the very broad or general areas and then work your way down to a narrower more focused category.
For example, if you absolutely hate bloody, gory horror costumes, there’s an entire category that you can eliminate right off the top!
Then if you cannot eliminate any other categories that you absolutely won’t be found dead in (no pun intended), then start thinking of the categories that you do enjoy.
For example, if you elminated scary horror costumes and job/position costumes (like doctor, lawyer, etc.), then think of possible categories that do sound interesting to you.
How about movie characters, TV characters, Musical groups – present or past. You get the idea?
Still can’t think of anything, how about recent movies – they’re always a hit. Take AVATAR for example, there are some very hot sexy AVATAR costumes that go well for couples. Like the Neytiri costume for her and the Jake Sully costume for him.
Also, think of famous couples, historical couples, musical couples, etc. So to get your brain cells juicy, here are my top ten categories that make great Halloween ideas for couples:
1. Movie & characters (like Avatar, Star Wars, Star Trek)
2. Musical Groups or Duos (like Sonny and Cher, Donny and Marie, etc.)
3. Historical figures, real or fictional (like Cleopatra and Mark Anthony, Romeo and Juliet)
4. Humor/Funny (This category is wide open! It can be as simple and funny as the Plug and Socket couples costume or a lot more elaborate!)
5. Sexy Costumes (This goes for men as equally as for women, and there’s some hot looking costumes out there.)
6. Classic costumes (These are your traditional, Halloween-type costumes like witch, vampire, etc.)
7. Occupation/Job (Your Doctors, Nurses, Nuns, Priests, Fireman, Police Officer, Sherif, etc.)
9. Scary/Horror (like zombies, ghouls, ghosts, or any variety of bloddy costume.)
10. Period costumes (Your basic time period, like a Flapper from the 20s, a gangster from the 30s, a Go Go dancer from the 60s or Disco Queen from the 70s. You get the idea!)
So there you have it, your best bet to get you thinking about the perfect his and hers costumes for Halloween or any costume party.
And the best advice, shop early so you can get the costume that YOU want!
