If you’re an Internet marketer that’s trying to leverage YouTube, you should know how important it is to build a strong foundation on it so that you’re able to achieve long term success. There are many benefits of using YouTube for your online marketing purposes since it gives you the needed exposure, and helps you acquire targeted traffic without compromising on the quality of your videos. YouTube still contains a lot of leverage if you know how to find it and use it – interesting subject, we think.
Your channel at YouTube has to be centralized around a subject, or theme, or whatever you want to call it. The reason you need to do this is so you can target the people you want; remember… targeted traffic? Keep in mind that YouTube is filled with the US. audience, so you may want to create content that is appealing to the English speaking crowd. YouTube users have had success creating channels on various topics, but ultimately it depends on how popular your niche is. Do you know precisely what content you want to make available on your channel? If you do not know, then that is a good place to start planning. The nature of your content will obviously be determined by your market.
As far as length is concerned, anywhere around the five minute mark will usually be all right just as long as you do not bore the viewer. But, as always, if your videos are engaging and jam-packed with great content, then people will watch an hour’s worth if they are that good. If you are ever in doubt, ask other people to view your videos and let you know if they are too long or whatever. You can make shorter videos and just see what kinds of comments you receive from people. Once you’ve got a dedicated subscriber base, you can experiment with longer videos once in a while to give your viewers more value.
There are lots of people who value mixing things up and getting some good variety with the videos they watch. If you are going to engage in video marketing, then keep making videos as there is a never-ending supply of keyword phrases you can use. Also remember that you can backlink your videos and target them for certain keywords which is something you should be doing from the very beginning. Produce ten new niche videos each month, and then optimize them and backlink them – powerful stuff. You should also place your videos on your website or blog, and just generally be aggressive about it. There is not a lot you have to get around when you want to make your move at YouTube.
