Wireless Head Set

December 26th, 2009 by the writer

A Bluetooth wireless head set typically consists of an earpiece and a microphone. One can talk and hear a conversation hands-free and without wires. Wireless cell phone headsets are also referred to as “handsfree” because your hands can be used to do other things while you’re talking on your phone.

Bluetooth is the most common technology used for a wireless head set devices. It operates over open wireless and it uses radio technology to transmit data—the data is separated into chunks and then transmitted at certain frequencies. They can be use in conjunction with podcasting, with a computer and they even adapt to prepaid cell phones and contract cell phones.

For Social Networking, Consider Internet Social Networking

January 4th, 2009 by the writer

Even though we are many miles apart, the world each day is becoming more closely knitted and integrated through Internet social networking. By definition, an online social network is a website or group of sites that serve as an online community for members. Membership to online social networks is usually free as much of their revenue comes from selling advertising space. Social networks offer members the ability to locate other members who share common interests or fit a certain search criteria. There are multiple ways for members to communicate including instant messenger and email.

And that’s not all — you can even create a customized page for yourself that tells the world who you are and what you’re all about. Some members of these networking sites have public profile pages where anyone can see their information and uploaded photos, while others choose a private profile accessible by only the other members they have approved as friends. Millions of people around the world use social networking sites every single day, with the two most popular sites in North America being MySpace and Facebook.

Anyone over the age of 13 can enjoy the benefits of membership, however there are other networking sites like Wee World especially designed for younger children. If you think social networking sites are for teens and college kids only, think again. Adults of all ages can and do enjoy the advantages of online social networking. Social networking sites can be used to keep track of classmates, coworkers, friends, family or even to meet new people. In addition to correspondence many of these networks offer games, music and videos to enjoy.

If you’re ready to jump into the world of Internet social networking, the first thing you’ll need to do is set up an account. Registering for a social network membership is quite simple. After filling out a basic form and confirming via email you are ready to build your profile page. It can be as simple or involved as you want, there are many tools that can be used (such as free HTML templates also known as layouts) to give your page a customized look. In addition to describing yourself and your interests in boxes of text on your profile, you can upload photos and videos to your profile albums to share with designated friends. It has never been easier or more fun to keep track of your friends and family than it is with social networking sites.

The new wave of Podcasting

December 17th, 2007 by the writer

The thing which I like most about the podcast station is that they allow you to listen to your favorite radio even if you are out of the city where it is situated. I like to listen to WABC in New York, NY, when I went to school there. When I moved move out, I had to leave many things behind, but not the radio. WABC has a live, streaming, podcast on the web, so you can listen to it exactly the way you like it as if you lived there. For me it is a great thing, thanks to podcast stations because, I can listen to all my favorite programs from anywhere in the whole entire country. That simply can not be beat.

There is a different way to look for podcasts is by music type. This is not the matter if you use podcasts. You can listen to bluegrass, country, polka, old school soul – you name it and there will probably be a podcast station dedicated to playing it. Actually there are a lot of people out there all over the world wanted to share their music with you and will be simply delighted if you were to listen to their podcast. Further more, it is almost always free!

Vinyl Records A Thing Of The Past But A Great Part Of History

November 8th, 2007 by the writer

The first place you want to look for vinyl records for sale is right in your own neighborhood. Garage sales pop up all over the place every summer. Take advantage of them. I have found so many valuable vinyl records for sale at neighborhood garage sales that I make sure to visit them as much as I possibly can.

One of my favorite albums is of a wooden sloop going up the East Coast. Turn out the lights, adjust the volume, and I’m out on the ocean. I pass two buoys, with bells clanking, along my way. Definitely a mood enhancer. I’ve had several people out on the boat with me. Everybody enjoyed themselves.

In the end this was not really a problem for me. I wanted to skip all of the trendy pop-chart music of today and focus on older dance music and classic songs available on vinyl records. My friend started playing dinner songs at the reception. He chose classic Irish music for the wedding meal.

Vinyl lovers assert that music sounds better—some use the term “warmer”—on records than on CDs. They also contend that the analog nature of vinyl records comes closer to capturing the original musical experience than does modern digital technology.

Did you even know there was such a thing as Vinyl Record Day which is a nonprofit organization that aims to educate the public and encourage all of us to preserve these international audio treasures. It is also a marketing opportunity for any vinyl record retailer.

Well today with technology we have come a long way when it comes to music. However, we should not completely let go of the little gems from our past. The haunting sounds of the crackling vinyl records help us truly touch the past even if for just a moment.

How to get free links on a PageRank 6 Site

April 7th, 2007 by the writer

Well, this isn’t really a new idea – but I’ll give you a tip on how you can find more places to get your sites linked at.

A great way to get more REAL WORLD links pointing at your pages is to sign up for as many free hosted web sites and blogs as you can.

Get your own free hosted blogs! They’re free! And plentiful!

You can then use the blog or web site for whatever you desire. And that means linking – right?

I found a great new free blog service that actually has a home page with a PageRank 6 and the blogs you get are in a directory (usually they are on subdomains). This may mean that your blog will have extra special juice if Google sees that site as an authority. Who knows for sure, but it can’t hurt!

Here is the site I just signed up and snagged for free.

Podcaster – news and information that will blow your ears off!

What I plan to do with this blog and others – is link to my articles – but with a twist – I’ll be posting audio recordings of the articles – ie podcasts! Read the rest of this entry »
