They released their debut album in early 2006, which spawned three successful singles. The music video of “Tear You Apart”, directed by Joaquin Phoenix, gained heavy rotation on music channels.
The band’s second album, This Is Forever, will be released on October 9, 2007.
She Wants Revenge’s sound is influenced by ’80s bands and acts like Prince, Erik B and Rakim, Joy Division, New Order, The Cure, Danse Society, Depeche Mode, and Suicide. The lyrical content heavily suggests a tongue-in-cheek parody of teenage angst and high school notebook poetry, with a vocal delivery sometimes reminiscent of vintage hip hop. The band toured extensively through 2006.
