Ouch! The Athletes Foot Fungus!
January 15th, 2010 by the writerOuch!, Ohh, Ahhhhhhh! Sound familiar? Then you’ve problem just identified an outbreak of Athletes foot. The Athletes Foot Fungus can appear at any time on the skin of any man, women, or child. It’s highly contagious, and can be a sod to get rid of, especially if treatment is delayed. Red, itchy, flaky skin (usually between the toes), are the first signs of an outbreak. It’s a real relief to scratch away the irritation, but such a treatment only provides a temporary respite from the pain and discomfort, and what’s more, it can actually aggravate the condition further and speed up the spread and next stage, which often comes in the form of splitting skin with not only seeps blood, but can be incredibly painful depending on the severity of the conditions. Topical treatments are pretty effective if caught early and applied exactly as instructed on the pamphlet, but where a lot of sufferers fail is they stop applying the creams as soon as the condition seems to have cleared. This is the biggest mistake ever, and for a complete cure the ointment or cream needs to be applied for up to 2 or 3 weeks after the initial clearing, and then, and only then, can life go on as normal.
