Pilkington Dorset Quarry Tiles still available from Atlas Ceramics

Atlas Ceramics in an effort to satisfy the ongoing need for Pilkington’s Dorset Quarry Tiles has bought a great deal of the Dorset Quarry Red Tiles with a view to ease the need for these extremely popular tiles.
It’s a sad state of affairs when you learn that a great British Institution such as Pilkingtons goes into administration. This happened in June 2010.
The once bustling operation in Poole has been shut down, with just the ceramic and terrazzo operations continuing in an effort to fulfil back orders and receive payment from Pilkington’s larger customers.
Although negotiations are being carried out, there is a strong rumour that the Terrazzo equipment will be sold.
Hopefully though all will be well and this period of upheaval will pass, but in the meantime, rest assured that you know where to go for those enduring and popular quarry tiles, but if you happen to miss the boat, try laying mosaic tiles instead, they are all the rage you know!
