Applying For Us Citizenship

October 19th, 2007 by the writer

The first element to consider is that a permanent resident in the United States is not regarded as having Us Citizenship. A lot of people presume that if you are an immigrant and you get married to somebody that has US Citizenship ( see more on marriage immigration) , then that automatically qualifies you for US Citizenship. First you become a resident of the United States. Once you have been a permanent resident for a five year period, you are then able to apply for US Citizenship.
