Who would have thought that the old Jewish family traditions of finding partners for their offspring’s would be replaced by technology! Finding love and romance and even marriage via the web is the in thing with young Jewish singles. Partly because they’re more independent than their previous generations and want to do their own thing, but also because many of them are so busy (aren’t we all) these days that a quick search through the Jewish online personal ads from the comfort of a home PC is so, so convenient, not to mention fun and exciting. Jewish Dating Sites, also referred to as dating niche websites, are not only making interaction quick and incredibly easy for Jewish single men and women, but they are also creating lots of new relationships much to the distaste of their parents and grandparents. That’s not so say they will disapprove of the new partner, but the way in which the kids have gone about finding them. But with most of us now educated in at least basic computer and internet usage, this is one new tradition that will not see the return of the old come the next generation.
